0:01
good morning everyone I'm Amy Friesen
0:04
and this is Artful aging with Amy we
0:07
have all been made Familiar of phone
0:09
scams and other types of scams but with
0:11
the shift to online during covid more
0:14
and more people have become targets with
0:16
a sharp increase specifically in our
0:18
seniors population
0:20
as senior as seniors increase their Time
0:23
online so does the amount of scams that
0:26
people are getting involved with and so
0:28
does just the general amount of scams
0:31
out there that people have to be worried
0:33
about my guest today is Manuela loian a
0:37
senior financial analysis analyst sorry
0:40
and instructor with with our friends
0:43
over at Shady pinelearning if you
0:45
remember from show 15 Michelle and I
0:47
spoke about the platform and the courses
0:49
they provide designed to assist seniors
0:51
in their online learning adventure and
0:54
I'll also link to that episode in my
0:56
show notes for you amongst the many
0:58
courses that Shady Pines learning
1:00
provides Manuel leads the courses on
1:04
online Safety and Security welcome
1:06
Manuel thanks so much for joining us
1:08
today
1:09
thank you for having me Amy happy to be
1:12
here well Manuel could you please tell
1:14
us more about yourself and why you enjoy
1:17
teaching Online safety and specifically
1:20
if there's any love of teaching it
1:21
specifically to our senior population
1:24
yeah of course so as as you've mentioned
1:27
I am a senior financial analyst and I've
1:29
worked in different financial
1:30
institutions and manufacturing companies
1:33
and previous to that I also worked in
1:35
customer customer service at the call
1:37
centers in one of the Canadian Banks
1:38
here and what was interesting is we
1:40
received a lot of calls from actual
1:42
customers saying you know I received a
1:45
call or I received an email or a text
1:47
from from you is this legitimate and
1:50
that's where that passion started with
1:52
this whole cyber security piece and that
1:54
whole piece of Online safety and from
1:58
there doing more research and looking it
2:00
up and just following the news so many
2:02
companies being hit and affecting
2:04
customers just made added to that
2:06
interest there and then working with
2:08
Shady Pines learning it allowed us to
2:10
create something so we can share with
2:13
those who are more elderly younger
2:15
whoever is interested just on good
2:17
safety tips on how we can actually help
2:20
everybody when it comes to avoiding
2:22
being the target of such a scam
2:25
wonderful yeah it's it's it's so tricky
2:27
I find and especially like I said since
2:29
covid you know I mentioned at the top of
2:31
the show that there's been an increase
2:33
in scams targeting seniors during covid
2:36
when everyone is freshly familiarizing
2:39
themselves with online programs
2:40
everybody went to zoom everybody started
2:42
doing a lot more stuff online because
2:44
that was the choice during covet what
2:48
have you been seeing coming uh with
2:50
scams lately
2:51
well there's always the serp scams if
2:54
you remember with serp there'll be
2:55
messages so you click this link so you
2:57
can get your serp one but they've also
3:00
become more sophisticated and they've
3:02
become really timely when Ontario
3:04
eliminated the fee for the sticker you
3:07
still have to register but there's no
3:09
fee anymore there's still automatically
3:12
the next day or a few days after I'm
3:14
getting emails and messages from friends
3:17
and family saying I just received this I
3:19
know you do this course please share it
3:21
saying you need to click this link so
3:23
and so to
3:25
um to get your sticker now there's other
3:27
ones that that I mentioned have become
3:29
more sophisticated and I've seen one
3:31
actually this week on LinkedIn which is
3:33
very timely for for this podcast it was
3:36
an ad that one of these large tech
3:39
companies very familiar to everybody I
3:42
don't want to name them just so they
3:43
don't
3:44
have any issues on their end saying that
3:47
they created this trading platform that
3:49
if you only put 250 dollars in it it
3:52
will automatically buy and sell and
3:54
you'll make a ton of money that way and
3:56
it looks incredibly legitimate as it's
3:58
on LinkedIn and when you look at the
4:01
link it'll say of reputable website like
4:04
Washington Post with the link it brings
4:06
you to a site that looks like the
4:08
Washington Post as an example or New
4:10
York Times whichever one they want to
4:12
use and it's a article and the article
4:15
looks incredible with an author all the
4:18
details of it how it works the
4:20
journalist has tried it and it even has
4:23
a comment section where people are
4:25
commenting saying I've done this and
4:27
it's fantastic or you know it wasn't for
4:30
me but I can see why people might be
4:32
interested and when you start looking
4:33
deeper you see the website is not even
4:35
this The Washington Post so the basic
4:39
practice of using certain processes
4:41
checking the website checking where it
4:43
originated from is it from that
4:46
company's website like is it Apple
4:47
Amazon Facebook let's say LinkedIn page
4:51
sending you this or is it somebody
4:52
that's what I wanted to mention is that
4:54
they're becoming more sophisticated we
4:56
all get the CRA calls or police calls
4:58
that we're going to be arrested if we
4:59
don't do this and this trying to scare
5:01
us with buying and buying gift cards and
5:05
sending them wherever but this one was
5:07
so sophisticated it even had a login
5:09
page and then you can it brings you to
5:11
another website where you could transfer
5:13
money I stopped at that point because I
5:15
didn't want to go too deep I don't I
5:17
didn't want anything on on my computer
5:18
or or be harmed on my end but they're
5:22
becoming more and more sophisticated and
5:24
they're targeting people knowing how
5:26
current events are happening
5:28
so it was it was a really interesting
5:30
one to see how sophisticated they have
5:32
become
5:33
they do get so sophisticated and it you
5:37
know no wonder people
5:40
right and like even you went down the
5:42
bunny Hall trying to figure it out and
5:43
it was tough and so
5:45
um I there's another scam that a lot of
5:48
seniors talk about which is called the
5:50
grandparents scam I think it is can you
5:52
yes talk to us a little bit about that
5:54
just so people are familiar
5:55
yes so it comes in different forms but
5:59
I'll give an example through email so
6:01
you receive an email from sometimes it's
6:04
even though the email of your grandchild
6:06
that you may even recognize because
6:08
somebody hacked into their email and
6:10
they'll say you know I'm traveling
6:12
wherever I am let's say Florida and I'm
6:15
stuck can you please send me money so I
6:17
can come back home safely now when you
6:20
look at the email you're going wow this
6:23
is the email that I'm used to
6:25
communicating with my grandchild
6:27
assuming phone calls sometimes don't
6:29
kick in and you see that so you start
6:33
panicking you start worrying so they
6:34
target your emotions and they make it so
6:37
urgent that they want you to send money
6:39
right away whatever however it is
6:41
whether it's a wire transfer again gift
6:43
cards are always a red flag but
6:46
sometimes they're so sophisticated
6:47
they'll even say send it to me a certain
6:50
way so then I could come back home
6:52
safely and usually they'll try to aim
6:55
for the flight home sometimes they'll
6:57
say you know I'm stuck for a few days I
6:59
need Hotel lodging and and the flight
7:01
home so there's different aspects of it
7:03
but they try to Target your emotions
7:05
and one suggestion I always make is if
7:07
they have a phone number call them they
7:10
might not be traveling like again this
7:13
is where Common Sense comes in and not
7:15
to say that people don't have common
7:16
sense it's more saying take a deep
7:18
breath
7:19
and start asking yourself certain
7:21
questions is my grandchild traveling
7:24
yes or no if I don't know the answer to
7:27
that can I call my child or their
7:30
parents and and find out if yes great
7:33
can I message them in a different way
7:35
maybe social media maybe a text message
7:38
maybe call them a lot of people when
7:41
they travel they do have their cell
7:42
phones activated for for roaming and
7:46
trying to reach out to them in different
7:47
ways to confirm the story
7:50
and once the story stories confirmed
7:53
then you could act accordingly
8:01
I just want to fix it right away but
8:03
you're right if you just take a second
8:06
and take a deep breath and and see if
8:08
you can figure it out a different way
8:11
um
8:11
it's just it's it's so difficult right
8:14
it's so difficult and especially if
8:16
people you know there's a lot of seniors
8:18
that have been online that have come
8:20
online during covid that have not been
8:22
online before and so they've never even
8:24
seen these types of scams before and so
8:27
they aren't even maybe aware that scams
8:31
exist or a phone like they don't don't
8:33
equate it to online and so they just
8:36
assume that you know it's X Y and Z
8:39
right and so I think it's just you know
8:41
part of what the show that we do is just
8:43
letting people know hey there's support
8:45
there you know let's you know talk about
8:47
it with somebody we'll figure it out
8:49
together and that's you know kind of
8:52
what you're doing with Shady Pines
8:53
learning so you know what is the
8:55
objective of your course when you're
8:57
teaching it
8:58
um to seniors specifically and what
9:02
approach do you take when you're leading
9:03
your course
9:04
well it's really to give them the tools
9:07
give them the tools to know what to look
9:09
for to to take that deep breath and
9:11
almost have a checklist of what to do
9:13
and and that checklist is actually quite
9:16
useful even for myself I use it often
9:19
time and I wanted to give another
9:20
example before I go a little bit more
9:22
deeper is is as you said more seniors
9:25
are going online well there's also more
9:27
websites and more advertisements on TV
9:29
for online dating targeting seniors for
9:32
online dating finding somebody in their
9:34
own age group and usually a good a good
9:36
aspect or a good way to know if it's a
9:39
scam or not like like you mentioned
9:40
there's that emotional piece but do they
9:43
want money as in it's always there's
9:45
always money coming coming into the
9:47
picture
9:48
and so to go back to to your question so
9:51
the the method I I like to usually take
9:53
is start at the high level provide the
9:56
tools provide what we're going to go
9:59
through and why we are doing it and then
10:02
go as through as many examples as we can
10:04
and also let them share their examples
10:07
because a lot of seniors even though yes
10:09
they are targeted I would even argue
10:12
they have more common sense than the
10:13
younger generation with some of the
10:15
scams that I have seen and they know to
10:17
ask these questions and and it's one of
10:19
those don't be afraid to share be proud
10:22
be proud that you caught that scam or
10:25
even if you were a victim of a scam be
10:27
proud in the sense it happened you are
10:30
okay and now you can share it with
10:32
others to ensure it doesn't happen to
10:34
them so that's the approach I like to
10:36
take start with that toolkit like we've
10:39
mentioned already are they asking for
10:40
money is it an emotional plea is the
10:43
website legitimate if it's an email does
10:46
the email make sense so usually if if
10:48
you get an email let's say from Amazon
10:50
it'll say dot Amazon dot amazon.com as
10:55
an example just to keep it very high
10:56
level if it says
11:01
amazon.com.xjlx then you already know it
11:04
doesn't look like a legitimate uh email
11:06
address so it's knowing what to look for
11:08
another good gift another good tell and
11:12
again we discussed this and we go
11:13
through all these examples is they don't
11:15
use your name in the email they'll say
11:17
hi there or hi whoever and well if the
11:22
person is writing you an email they
11:23
usually know your name they usually know
11:25
who you are and that is also another
11:28
good helpful tool using that common
11:31
sense going why is this person reaching
11:34
out to me
11:35
do I have business with that person if
11:37
you bought something from Amazon as an
11:39
example or apple or Best Buy or IGA for
11:44
for those in Quebec or even Walmart
11:47
then there's a reason for them to email
11:49
you and you might be under newsletter
11:51
but if you never signed up for them then
11:54
that's a little bit strange especially
11:55
if there's a link to click for sure I've
11:58
even had you know recently it's happened
12:00
now now the scams happened about three
12:03
times to me where as a business owner I
12:05
get an email that says hey like you need
12:08
you're using pictures on your website
12:10
that are mine and like you need to cease
12:13
and desist and you owe me this money and
12:14
I was like the first time I got it I was
12:16
like panicked for a second and then I
12:18
was like okay wait a minute like I
12:20
purchased all the pictures on my site so
12:22
just like you have to like go through
12:24
each bird like each part of it and be
12:26
like okay like that's you know you can
12:28
you have to figure it out but sometimes
12:30
they're not like that wasn't necessarily
12:32
easy but it was easier than some of the
12:34
other ones and what I was going to ask
12:37
you is you know how do you keep up with
12:38
all the scams how do you how do we know
12:41
what's new out there and I think you
12:43
know I'll lend it to you in just a
12:45
second but I think more so it might not
12:48
be about keeping up with the new scams
12:50
and what's out there to tell people hey
12:52
this this this this and this scams out
12:54
there it's more so the like anything you
12:57
look at right anything on like online or
13:00
any links and things like that are they
13:02
looking at you know the emotional and
13:04
all the stuff that you had mentioned
13:05
would you say that that would be a
13:06
better way to kind of keep up with them
13:08
usually it's using those different tools
13:11
and that common sense to keep up people
13:13
talking about it if you talk about it
13:16
with your friends and family they can
13:18
share with you what they've received
13:19
sometimes I look out I go and try to
13:22
search for for it myself and see what
13:24
other people are sharing whether it's
13:26
online or I ask individuals as well so
13:29
yes it is very hard to keep up because
13:31
they change constantly and one targeting
13:34
a senior may not necessarily look the
13:36
same way somebody targeting somebody
13:38
who's 25
13:39
nor somebody who's targeting a company
13:41
they all look very different but they
13:44
have those same issues like you
13:46
mentioned I received one at the office
13:48
before saying our CEO again the
13:51
traveling one our CEO is traveling and
13:53
is stuck and needs you to send four
13:56
thousand dollars to help them and
13:59
they're trying to get somebody who has
14:00
access to the books so they could send
14:03
the bank accounts to send that kind of
14:04
money but again is rco traveling I see
14:08
her online she's not traveling
14:11
um
14:12
five minutes ago where did she go where
14:15
did she go I just saw her at the in the
14:17
lunchroom or why is she reaching out to
14:20
me
14:21
I don't have any money I I don't I don't
14:24
have money they have they have access to
14:26
the whole email list and the thing is
14:28
and I share this example too because
14:30
they always adapt and they try to change
14:33
but again it's using that Common Sense
14:36
again going why asking those whys why am
14:39
I being asked this is there a reason do
14:42
I have the power to help this person is
14:44
it emotional and go and going through
14:46
that end I hope I've answered your
14:48
question because sometimes they're a
14:50
little bit on the long run and I'm not
14:51
sure if I'm covering everything you're
14:53
asking so if I miss the part don't don't
14:55
hesitate to to push me a little and I'll
14:58
make sure to answer it no you didn't I
15:00
think that's the point I think it's just
15:02
a matter of just asking like taking a
15:03
breath and asking why you're being asked
15:06
for X right as opposed to trying to keep
15:09
up with the new scams and and having a
15:11
name to put to the scans like I said
15:13
with a grandparent scam and things like
15:14
that but I think it's also important to
15:17
note when you just said that about your
15:19
CEO is that you know scams happen to
15:23
everyone it's not just seniors yes we're
15:25
talking about seniors in this show
15:27
specifically but they happen to all of
15:29
us right and I think it's just good to
15:31
kind of air that out and say you know
15:33
you're not alone it's it's you know it's
15:36
happening all across the board any age
15:39
any gender what you know whatever right
15:42
and it's you know happening to all of us
15:43
so one of the things I always encourage
15:46
people
15:47
um and that's in our slogan is supports
15:50
only a conversation away right it's like
15:52
have a conversation with someone talk to
15:54
someone and ask them what they think
15:55
that that one I had I went up to my
15:58
husband I'm like read this and tell me
16:00
what you think right just have another
16:01
opinion on it because I exactly because
16:04
equally so with the scams you like for
16:06
the one I was talking about with like
16:08
using somebody's
16:09
um pictures inappropriately or whatever
16:11
I don't I don't want to use people's
16:14
stuff inappropriately so that's why it
16:16
was a concern right because I I wouldn't
16:18
want to do that and so that's why they
16:20
had I'd be considering it but I think
16:22
like you said just ask why and open up
16:24
the conversation and let's not you know
16:27
sometimes people put shame around things
16:29
and that's why they don't talk about it
16:30
right it's a very popular technique
16:32
today to use shame to try to get
16:35
something but I wanted to share some
16:37
statistics if it's okay just to show how
16:40
this is becoming a big business for
16:42
these scammers and you'll notice like
16:44
even Costco was hit at one point with
16:46
their credit card a company in the past
16:48
so I have here a statistic here it's
16:51
from the internet crime complaint center
16:53
and they track the number of complaints
16:55
that people will call and share and they
16:58
went from
17:00
receiving in 2016 about 300 000
17:04
complaints to over 800 000 in 2020 and
17:08
the losses and again these are reported
17:10
losses a lot of people may not want to
17:12
report their losses because of that
17:14
shame that you're talking about it's now
17:16
around 4.2 billion dollars according to
17:20
them
17:21
and a lot of it has been increasing
17:23
because of e-commerce and again doesn't
17:25
mean you shouldn't use e-commerce it's
17:27
use trusted websites to avoid that and a
17:30
lot of merchants are also very worried
17:32
about the this type of scam but think
17:34
about this 4.2 billion dollars that they
17:37
could that they're making by scamming
17:40
individuals and and they changed like I
17:43
said they change with different places
17:44
so an example is they'll Target let's
17:46
say a small hospital or a small like a
17:50
city uh system and they'll hold it
17:53
hostage and say okay if you give us The
17:55
Ransom of two million dollars we'll free
17:57
everything up and people have paid the
17:59
ransom and they have actually freed it
18:01
up but it's also created a business of
18:03
cyber security to increase significantly
18:06
another interesting piece is those
18:09
targeted so like you've mentioned those
18:10
who are let's say over 50 or over 60 the
18:15
increase was about 200 percent per per
18:18
year on average in terms of the number
18:20
the dollars and losses
18:23
but what's very interesting is those
18:26
under 20 it's 750 percent uh increase
18:31
and they're targeting younger and
18:32
younger people because there's there's
18:34
money there but also the techniques have
18:37
changed with social media and what may
18:39
be interesting also for for those
18:41
listening somebody from my generation
18:43
who was around before the internet
18:46
existed and then now that the internet
18:48
is around we were raised don't go in a
18:51
car with the stranger don't trust
18:53
everything you read online there's
18:55
already that that education of be
18:59
worrisome because this is new it's
19:02
strange you're talking to a stranger
19:03
online where somebody who might
19:06
have the internet their whole life goes
19:08
into Uber with a complete stranger to
19:11
instead of a taxi which which is
19:13
licensed because that option is there or
19:16
they'll do things through social media
19:18
and online and it's interesting before
19:20
we're told don't go in a car with the
19:22
stranger now it's please go in a car
19:23
with the stranger it will be cheaper
19:25
than a taxi so that's where so many
19:27
things have changed don't sleep at a
19:30
stranger's home now you have couch
19:32
surfing and and airbnbs now there are
19:36
regulations of course to make these
19:38
things a little bit more safe but that
19:40
mindset has been very different and for
19:42
your audience with the older individuals
19:45
they're also like me in a sense they've
19:48
been around when the internet hasn't
19:50
been around and there is I would argue
19:54
based on some of the individuals I I've
19:56
taught they already have that spirits of
19:59
critique as I will I will call it where
20:01
they will question they will Challenge
20:02
and don't be afraid to use that no it
20:05
doesn't mean you have to be mean about
20:07
it and be insulting it's more you get
20:09
that email okay why did you get it let's
20:11
look let's let's look at those things to
20:13
make sure if it's really intended for me
20:16
from somebody I know or not
20:18
where that new generation doesn't have
20:21
that and and they're starting to be more
20:23
and more targeted as well for sure
20:26
um just to go back just briefly uh with
20:28
the the shame sometimes that's around it
20:31
I also find that you know a lot of our
20:35
senior population are independent and I
20:39
I said again in one of my other shows
20:41
you know you're you're deemed
20:43
independent until you get to a certain
20:45
level and then you have to prove that
20:47
you're independent past that age group
20:49
kind of thing and so there's a lot of
20:51
seniors online that are independent but
20:53
they may get scammed and there may be
20:57
shame around it because they don't want
20:58
to seem like they're not independent
21:00
when really that's a different thing
21:02
right like it's not you know someone's
21:04
not going to take your computer away or
21:06
take whatever right but it's about you
21:09
know let's talk about it as a community
21:10
so we know that it's happening so that
21:13
we can fix it if we need to or whatnot
21:14
and not be you know shamed in the fact
21:17
that oh well X Y and Z is going to
21:19
happen if I talk about the scam that I
21:22
might have got involved with or whatnot
21:23
and I find that a lot because a lot of
21:25
seniors are proving that they're
21:27
independent because people you know you
21:29
get to a certain age where you know
21:31
there's Falls and there's different
21:32
things that are happening with seniors
21:34
in our community and and their health
21:37
um their health challenges and things
21:38
like that and so a lot more people are
21:40
proving it and this is one of those
21:41
things that people don't talk about
21:43
because they don't want it to impact
21:45
their independence or other things that
21:47
come from that and so it's important to
21:49
open that conversation and then with
21:51
that you know if there's caregivers in
21:53
our audience that you know think that
21:56
something might be going on if they have
21:58
a suspicion that their loved one has
22:01
been targeted or scammed or harassed of
22:03
some sort is there anything that we can
22:06
give them advice that they could do
22:08
yeah so I'll start with first by saying
22:10
they shouldn't be ashamed and think
22:12
about it this way to give an example if
22:15
Costco could be scammed if the big Banks
22:17
whether it's Canada or internationally
22:19
can be scammed and they have some of the
22:21
brightest people working there there's
22:23
no reason to be ashamed it happens to
22:25
everybody at some point and there's no
22:28
need to be ashamed I I can give you an
22:30
example as well I remember working at a
22:33
head office at one of the big banks in
22:35
Canada and somebody sent a private
22:38
Banker at the time that they're
22:40
traveling in Hong Kong and they need
22:42
millions of dollars urgently for
22:44
whatever reason and the person sent the
22:47
money they ended up sending millions of
22:49
dollars thinking that their customer was
22:52
in trouble and they needed it for
22:53
whatever it was or maybe it was a
22:55
business deal I don't remember the exact
22:57
details and that individual is a very
22:59
bright individual so there's there's no
23:02
need to be ashamed uh on that end it
23:04
happens to everybody at some point
23:07
now for your second question what can
23:09
they do so there's different things that
23:11
they can do depending on what the scam
23:14
is so for example if it involves
23:16
identity theft or Internet fraud they'll
23:19
usually say to contact local police and
23:22
the local police does have a
23:23
non-emergency line so you're not calling
23:25
9-1-1 you're calling your local police's
23:28
usually non-emergency line but they
23:30
might have other lines for scams if it's
23:32
set up there sometimes you can also
23:34
contact the Royal Canadian Mounted
23:36
Police you can also contact your if it's
23:39
let's say a bank related one contact
23:41
your bank so then they know to put a
23:43
note on your file and anybody that calls
23:46
they can say you know what we will not
23:48
do any phone Banking and they could
23:50
deactivate your online banking and
23:52
everything has to be at the branch
23:53
temporarily so there's different ways of
23:55
dealing with that
23:56
uh if it's tax fraud or you're
23:59
questioning a charity then usually the
24:01
CRA is somebody too involved and to
24:04
speak with uh if it's Consumer Fraud or
24:07
fraudulent business activity so a fake
24:10
business then there's the Better
24:12
Business Bureau but also the local
24:14
police again credit cards if it's a
24:17
credit card situation your bank because
24:19
they they have a center where they will
24:23
investigate uh usually a good starting
24:26
point your local police they might be
24:28
aware of it or they might guide you in
24:30
the right place and also let your family
24:32
know if it's share your experience but
24:36
if it's something like your email was
24:37
hacked or your Facebook or social media
24:40
was hacked with their sending
24:42
individuals messages let them know this
24:44
is what happened and work with those
24:46
companies to try to or change your
24:48
password and all the things that you
24:49
need to do to to protect it so yes local
24:52
police is a good starting point I've
24:55
definitely had credit card third scams
24:57
before and it's like a little terrifying
24:59
but the credit card companies have been
25:01
very good to deal with it because I
25:03
think it happens way more than they want
25:04
it to happen
25:05
and so it it's one of those things that
25:09
it's like you see it every once in a
25:11
while but just kind of you know keep
25:13
your eyes open for it and
25:15
um I I also recently got Facebook hacked
25:19
and I that was a nightmare that was a
25:21
nightmare to get my own account back the
25:23
hacker had way more control over my own
25:26
account that I knew how to control so it
25:28
took like a month to get it back and so
25:30
it's a thing it's all of us all of us
25:33
are dealing with it and it's uh it's a
25:34
bit of a nightmare so what did they do
25:37
with your Facebook account sorry for
25:38
jumping it just or the audience can see
25:41
what did these hackers sometimes try to
25:43
do so it was on my so I my business uh
25:48
Facebook is hooked to my personal as
25:50
anything and what they tried to do I
25:53
believe is they tried to do something
25:55
with the ads like the the credit card
25:58
that was hooked to my Facebook ads and
26:01
they got do they did something I don't
26:02
know what it was and I ended up getting
26:04
locked out and then I didn't even
26:05
realize down the road after we got it
26:07
fixed like three months later we were
26:09
looking to do something and I was still
26:11
locked out of a portion of it without
26:13
even realizing it so it's been months to
26:16
try to fix and you have to give them
26:18
like a copy of your license and like all
26:20
the identification and things like that
26:23
um but It's Tricky it's really tricky
26:25
it's super time consuming and so you
26:27
know also you know protect your
26:29
passwords and different things like that
26:31
and and you know make sure that they're
26:34
secure enough
26:36
um so that you know anything you can do
26:38
to safeguard because let me tell you on
26:40
the other side of it it's not worth the
26:42
uh the aggravation figure out a better
26:44
password figure out a better way to do
26:46
stuff right well thank you so much again
